OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE
Work collaboratively with external stakeholders and our internal matrixed organization to ensure strategic growth initiatives and expansion program objectives are developed, executed, and successfully achieved on time.
Responsible for the cross functional program planning of expansion opportunities in new states, territories, and countries.
Lead acquisition and integration of plasma center(s) or plasma collection organizations into the network.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Market Expansion and Business Development Program Execution (70%)
Lead the development, coordination, and execution of local and national reforms of administrative and legislative issues that ultimately remove regulatory and statutory hurdles that allow our company to meet our patient demand.
Liason between internal and external stakeholders, including senior management as well as project teams, to execute succsessful completion of strategic growth initiatives
Lead internal functions through due diligence evaluations, transition services agreement development, integration planning, Day 1 transition, and center/organization integration
Lead Strategic Growth Initiatives and Special Projects (25%)
Work collaboratively within the organization to develop strategies, identify and establish partnership opportunities that increase plasma collections
Remain focused on serving the needs of our patients
Reinforce our reputation as the leaders within our field
Ensure evaluations include gathering requirements, creating business model prototypes, and calculating market potential, cost and ROI
Function communication management (5%)
Work with functions to develop, plan, and manage all program communications
Other duties/project as directed by Head of Market Expansion and Business Development
DIMENSIONS AND ASPECTS
Technical/Functional (Line) Expertise
Proven track record of project management, strong analytical, problem solving, consultation, facilitation and leadership skills.
Knowledge of project management tools and GMP, FDA/EMEA guidelines.
Successful leadership across varied projects and teams.
Experience with demonstrated progressive results with industry, public and government affairs.

Lead Strategic Initiatives and Special Projects, creating a level of ownership within the network
Excellent oral and written communication skills, high degree of business acumen and the ability to lead and communicate in a clear and concise manner with all levels of the organization

Preferred experience working with government officials, M&A targets, and business to business partnerships

On occasion the incumbent may work in/visit a plasma collection center or test laboratory where potential exists for exposure to biohazardous blood or plasma

EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
Essential: Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of previous project management experience. Proven track record of project management, strong analytical, problem solving, consultation, facilitation and leadership skills. Must have knowledge of project management tools and understand implication of principals such as GMPs, FDA/EMEA guidelines.
Preferred: Experience with Government Relations, M&A deals, and business to business partnerships a strong plus.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Domestic and International travel – periodically up to 25%
