About the role:

Are you looking for a patient-focused, innovation-driven company to inspire you and empower you to shine? Join us as a Product Owner in our Bannockburn, IL office, where you will be responsible for managing the daily production activities to ensure the platform's success, meets goals and maximizes the value of the Agile product team. You will also work collaboratively across departments and provide knowledge of blockchain technology and shares the vision and goals for the platform. Collaborate with the Product Manager, Scrum Master, delivery team, and your team, to develop use case functionality and maintain the platform As part of the team, you will report to the PDT IT Business Partner and ensure that the team product backlog is transparent, visible, and well understood by partners, and the team.

How you will contribute:

  • Lead a technical Agile product team in digital platforms, data management, API, integration, monitoring, and operating systems.
  • Use skillset to share product goals, achievements, technological information and promote the vision and value of the blockchain platform. Create and approve regular communications that represent the platform and its partners.
  • Identify product development potential based on technological developments and ongoing identification of potential platform use cases.
  • Manage the hands-on management of the product backlog, making sure that backlog items are well defined with acceptance criteria, prioritized, and socialized to the Agile team and partners.
  • Available to the Agile team and team members to answer questions about the product being developed as though they were the customer.
  • Participate in all Agile events such as planning, refinement, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Be the technological advisor of the blockchain platform, ensuring quality and delivery of Agile use cases and promoting the use of technology.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Minimum 6 years of IT experience with Bachelor's Degree or 8 years IT experience without Bachelor's Degree.
  • Experience leading an Agile team (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).
  • Experience as a Product Owner with software products, digital platforms, data management, API, integration, monitoring, or OS areas over the entire lifecycle in a multi-team environment.
  • Experience with User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, and the Definition of Done.
  • Work with an Agile team to accomplish a common goal.
  • Experience conveying current technology trends that support this platform (e.g., blockchain, AWS).
  • Experience working in a life sciences environment and familiarity with Takeda.
  • Experience with Agile in a regulated environment (GxP, SaMD)
