About the role:
Lead the development, design, and execution of technical designs; deployment of digital products in an advanced and complex product-focused IT organization. Manage complex product implementations, coordinate across departments with Product Engineers, Technical Architects, Product Owners, Product Managers, and other Team members. Join Takeda as a Senior Digital Product Engineer where you will ensure the delivery of working, secure solutions, whilst using in-depth knowledge of software development, modern deployment techniques and functional APIs, interpret end of life components and transitions and expert future state progress against a product portfolio. You will also partner and influence peers within IT to drive improvement of service processes, user experiences and application optimization aligned with partners. As part of the Plasma Derived Therapy Data & Digital, Donation Management team, you will report to Head of Donation Management.
How you will contribute:
Lead and mentor team of software engineers to deliver robust technical solutions that have an impact on the business
Design and implement scalable solutions that leverage the latest technology, while also using existing legacy components
Influence and manage technical product development approaches, use different technologies, patterns and design methods along with modern scripted deployment techniques to iteratively to influence on product development and enhancements
Be a technical lead in a product-focused delivery team, which includes Agile delivery iterations, federated architectures and included services as an offering
Influence other Product Engineers in different disciplines and broader technology and architecture teams in the Product and Enterprise ecosystem
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Informatics or similar
10+ years of experience as a software developer, digital product engineer, development lead or equivalent
5years of experience working with global delivery teams
Solid software development skills and experience with AWS tooling (EC2, Lambda, RDS, etc.), microservices, containers SQL and cloud-native databases (e.g., RDS), pub/sub or streaming platforms, frontend technologies, Microsoft technologies (.NET Framework/C#), APIs, JavaScript technologies, integration platforms (e.g., MuleSot), ETL Platform (Informatica/Tidal) technologies preferred. Solid Understanding of AWS services and application deployment into cloud; AWS certification preferred
Expert knowledge of SQL, Relational Databases, scripted deployments, and web services
Ability to manage and propose proper technology choices to determine what technology and methods can be combined for the optimal result on an ever-changing product landscape
Proven experience managing and coaching Product Engineers, Data Engineers and Architects aiming to a modern technology footprint
Experience delivering architectural documentation and implementation against SAAS, IAAS or Development projects
Significant experience working on a cross-functional team, architecting, building, deploying, and maintaining fronted or full-stack web applications
Ability to work in an Agile and rapid environment delivering high quality solutions
