About the role:
Every day, the donors you meet will motivate you. The high-quality plasma you collect will become life-changing medicines. Here, a commitment to customer service and quality is expected. You will report to the Plasma Center Manager and will perform as a Sample Processing Technician supporting plasma center operations.
BioLife Plasma Services is a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd.
How you will contribute:
You will prepare collect and prepare plasma units for frozen storage or testing.
You will perform routine maintenance on the freezer including monitoring freezer and refrigerator temperatures and removing ice buildup.
You will organize plasma boxes/documents for scheduled shipments and help with loading shipments.
You will manage supplies, assist the management team with inventory control procedures, break down empty cartons and assist with proper disposal.
What you bring to Takeda:
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to walk and/or stand for full shift to include the ability to lean, bend or crouch
Ability to lift to 5 lbs to 50 lbs.
Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to monitor equipment from a distance
Because of potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens, prolonged glove wear is required
At least 1 year experience working in a customer or patient facing role is helpful
