About the role:

Every day, the donors you meet will motivate you. The high-quality plasma you collect will become life-changing medicines. Here, a commitment to customer service and quality is expected. You will report to the Plasma Center Manager and will perform as a Sample Processing Technician supporting plasma center operations.

BioLife Plasma Services is a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd.

How you will contribute:

  • You will prepare collect and prepare plasma units for frozen storage or testing.
  • You will perform routine maintenance on the freezer including monitoring freezer and refrigerator temperatures and removing ice buildup.
  • You will organize plasma boxes/documents for scheduled shipments and help with loading shipments.
  • You will manage supplies, assist the management team with inventory control procedures, break down empty cartons and assist with proper disposal.

What you bring to Takeda:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to walk and/or stand for full shift to include the ability to lean, bend or crouch
  • Ability to lift to 5 lbs to 50 lbs.
  • Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to monitor equipment from a distance
  • Because of potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens, prolonged glove wear is required
  • At least 1 year experience working in a customer or patient facing role is helpful
