BioLife Plasma Services is a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd.

OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE

  • Serve as analytics expert on the leadership team, providing input and guidance on the direction of forecasting, pricing and analytics within all aspects of BioLife business.
  • Responsible for leading a team that creates and oversees pricing, forecasting and analytic models that support and maximize long-term growth plans. The team is responsible for creation of accurate volume, CPL and IgG forecast for the BioLife network, as well as analytic models that support those efforts.
  • Incumbent is responsible for identifying patterns through various technologies, to define and develop strategies that drive donation behavior and positively impact IgG yields.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Mentor and guide team members verifying accuracy of work as well as incorporating the latest technology to guide business in the immediate and near future.
  • Develop and maintain analytic roadmap for BioLife business ensuring that forecasting, pricing and analytic models are taken into account in all areas of business.
  • Analyze performance drivers proactively determining actionable strategy, and then contribute to identifying solutions for mitigation and/or optimization to achieve overall business goals.
  • Accountable to analyze and review complex data, developing creative and effective programs, presenting, and facilitating to multiple levels of the organization, and optimizing through continuous improvement efforts.
  • Develops forecast modeling based on historical data and causal factors. Responsible for building the Volume, CPL and IG Forecast on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Provide Forecast guidance/mitigation options to leaders to support acheiving annual cost reduction goals and supply needs.
  • Analyze market forecast and trends and drive strategy accordingly.
  • Using analytics and AI, provide donor behavior patterns relative to pricing and promotional drivers. Create models to support volume and IgG forecasting and Pricing
  • Strong partnership with IT and Data Analytics Team to build appropriate models that will automate current manual processes.
  • The leader will be creative and business results oriented and will elevate the use of people data and analytics and deep understanding of what drives performance at Takeda.
  • Ensure delivery of the network volume commitments, while ensuring effective governance and risk management in overall pricing processes.

DIMENSIONS AND ASPECTS

Technical/Functional (Line) Expertise

  • In-depth experience and knowledge of analytic, data mining, and statistical techniques and software platforms is required.  Emphasis is on DataBricks, Python, PySpark and data engineering of large data sets that span various aspectsof the business.
  • Data visualization experience
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Knowledge of the impact that operational aspects of business have to the overall company (for example: impact delivery lead time, purchasing minimums, etc. have on in stocks, inventory, & costs).
  • Comprehensive understanding of the components of setting up data models and running scenario planning that match the business need.
  • Ability to transfer business needs into data needs

  • Ability to lead a team of analytic professionals spanning forecasting, pricing and analytics fields, mentoring and growing the skills of those team members as well as aligning their activities with the goals of the organization.

EDUCATION, BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:

Essential

  • Master’s degree
  • 10+ years of experience in advanced analytics and modeling in the areas of business performance analysis, forecasting, promotion and media effectiveness and optimization, and consumer behavior

Desired

  • Healthcare or Plasma Industry related experience a plus

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • FLSA – Exempt
  • Domestic travel up to 20% may be required

Base Salary Range: $198,100 to $283K. Employees may also be eligible for Short Term and Long-Term Incentive benefits. Employees are eligible to participate in Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, 401(k), Charitable Contribution Match, Holidays, Personal Days & Vacation, Tuition Reimbursement Program and Paid Volunteer Time Off.   

The final salary offered for this position may take into account a number of factors including, but not limited to, location, skills, education, and experience.
