Growth Opportunities Are Within Reach
Jessica K.
Manager Trainee - Quality
Appleton, Wisconsin
Employee Since 2015
Shortly after Jessica began college, she started working full-time at BioLife Plasma Services. Busy with work and school, she quickly realized she “loved the company.” She could see the opportunities for promotions and decided to turn this job into her career. Fast forward, Jessica has been promoted multiple times, takes advantage of training opportunities through BioLife University, and continues to grow in her career.
“I’m the type of person who is always setting a goal,“ shares Jessica. “When I reach that goal, I figure out the next adventure.” At BioLife, she appreciates being able to set and achieve new career goals while staying with the same company. “What I love about the culture of BioLife is everyone is always there to help you grow and succeed. Everyone is giving you feedback to help you reach your goals.”
As a manager trainee focused on quality, Jessica’s adventures take her to BioLife centers across the United States. While Wisconsin is home base, she’s traveled to many states including Idaho, Texas, and her (now) favorite state, Colorado. Often times, she stays at one location for six to eight weeks before coming home; then it’s back on the road again to experience new centers. She shares, “Not many people get the opportunity to travel within their career. These opportunities allow me to learn from and work alongside so many knowledgeable people across the company.”
While this go-getter enjoys the regular travel and fast-paced nature of her job, it’s working with so many people she finds most meaningful. “About a year into working at BioLife, I found a different job opportunity and actually left the company,” she opens up. Though it didn’t take more than a few weeks for her to realize how much she had enjoyed working at BioLife. “I missed the staff, team-oriented environment, and morale. My BioLife team was so supportive and never hesitated to welcome me back.” That’s when she knew BioLife was the right place for her -- now and well into the future.
